Roadmap — MACE update, trial mode, new plugin, and what’s further out

A roadmap dump while the site is fresh. Specifics where I have them, signal where I do not.

MACE — update incoming

A round of fixes and enhancements is queued up for the next MACE release. Quality-of-life improvements across generation, the model library, and the host integration. Existing license owners get it for free, as always.

MACE — trial mode under construction

A lot of you have asked for a way to test MACE on your specific machine before paying. Fair ask. A trial mode is in active development so you can confirm it runs on your setup before committing. Until that lands, the existing guarantee stands: if you buy MACE, download it, and genuinely cannot get it working on your hardware, email [email protected] and you get a refund. No friction, no theatre.

A new plugin on the horizon

Different shape from MACE. Where MACE is generative — text in, audio out — the next plugin is hands-on: latent-space tools for manipulating samples you already have. Less “summon a sound from nothing,” more “take this sample and steer it through latent space until it is the sound you actually wanted.” More user control, less magic-box. Projected for this summer / early fall.

ANVIL

ANVIL 1 has been dropped from the storefront — it was GAN-era, finicky, and not worth keeping at the front of the lineup. ANVIL 2, built on stable diffusion model training, is in active development alongside the rest of the roadmap. Full story at /anvil/.

Something bigger, further out

Quietly in the works: an experimental tool that takes music composition in a direction nothing else on the market is going. Not a plugin. Not a sampler. Closer to a new way of arranging sound. No name, no date, no screenshots yet. When it is ready to show, you will see it here first.
